Email accounts

So that requests for quotation go out in your name and responses come back to your mailbox, connect your organization's email account in Settings → Email Accounts.

Ways to connect

  • With OAuth (recommended for Gmail/Google Workspace and Microsoft 365): you authorize access from your own provider, without sharing the password with Sourced.

  • Direct IMAP/SMTP: for your own servers, where you configure host, port and credentials. There are configuration shortcuts for Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo that fill in host and ports automatically.

Management

  • Test connection: verifies that the account can send and receive before using it.

  • Default account: the one the system uses for all sends. To set it, mark it with the star. You can have more than one account connected.

  • Statuses: connected (operational), error (expired credentials or unreachable server, you need to reconnect) and pending.

  • Deleting an account asks for confirmation; emails already sent stay in the history.

Notes

  • IMAP/SMTP credentials are stored encrypted.

  • Your signature is applied on top of the connected account.

  • If an account goes into error, pending sends aren't lost: they resume when you reconnect, although it's best to resolve it soon so quotations aren't delayed.
