Discover suppliers

This module is enabled per organization and has a monthly search quota (20 by default). It's used by buyers and admins.

Discover Suppliers finds new suppliers outside your base. Instead of searching the internet by hand, you tell it what you need and the platform builds a list of relevant candidates, already researched and ready to add.

How it works

1. Describe what you need in the chat, as you'd tell a colleague: line of business, area, certifications, volumes (for example, "conveyor belt manufacturers with service in China").

2. The platform crawls a variety of sources to build an initial list of candidates that fit your request.

3. For each candidate, Sourced launches agents that dig into that supplier to research it and validate the results: they confirm it's real, that it's active in the field, its location and its contact details. This reduces false positives and saves you the work of verifying one by one.

4. You review the candidates with their profile: activity, location, contact and why they match what you asked for.

5. You convert the ones that work for you into suppliers in your base. They come in with the Discovery source and become available to quote.

Monthly quota

Each search consumes part of your organization's monthly quota (because behind it runs all the crawling and validation work). When it runs out, search is blocked until the next period. It's best to spend your searches on well-defined requests rather than generic probing.

Tips

• Be specific about location and scope of service: it greatly improves relevance.

• Before inviting them to quote, complete their categories and contacts in My suppliers.

• The new supplier's language is assigned based on its country, so quotations reach them in their own language.
