Tenders in the dashboard
Tenders have their own widgets, spread across chapters and always apart from spot purchases. The buyer of a tender is whoever created it. The award date is the date of the status change to awarded, whether it was awarded to a proposal or to a framework agreement. The offer deadline is always the current one (if it was extended, the last date counts).
Tenders: cycle by stage (Operations)
Median days of tenders awarded in the period, in three stages: preparation (creation → publication), offer reception (publication → offer deadline, Q&A included) and deadline → award. If the period includes today, open tenders enter their stage at their current age: an old draft weighs on preparation and a tender under evaluation weighs on decision. The widget says how many open ones it included. Each stage opens the list of tenders in that status.
Tenders needing attention (Operations)
Current snapshot, sorted by severity and delay. Reasons:
- Deadline passed: still in reception with the offer deadline passed.
- Evaluation overdue: under evaluation with the evaluation date passed; without a date, more than 15 days since the deadline.
- Few proposals: less than 48 hours to the deadline and fewer than 2 proposals submitted.
- Evaluators inactive: an evaluator invited more than 5 days ago never logged in.
- Stale draft: a draft older than 30 days.
The first two are critical. Each row opens the tender.
Tenders: market response (Suppliers)
Funnel over the invitations of tenders created in the period: invited, viewed, submitted a proposal, declined, with the rate over invited and the previous period's rate. It explains why a tender reaches its deadline with a single offer.
Tenders: management by buyer (Team)
Per buyer: drafts, in reception, under evaluation and overdue (current snapshot), plus awarded, median cycle (creation → award) and response rate (proposals submitted over invitations) for the period. Each cell opens the tender list filtered by that buyer and status.
KPIs (Results)
- Open tenders, under evaluation and overdue: current snapshot with trend against the start of the period.
- Tenders awarded in the period, against the previous period.
- Amount awarded in tenders: sum of accepted proposals of tenders awarded in the period, in USD at current rates. Not added to spot spend.
Executive briefing
When there are tenders in progress, the narrative mentions them and the "Tenders in progress" metric appears. A tender with its deadline or evaluation overdue enters as a critical priority; one with few proposals, as a warning.
