Contribution chain
The contribution chain is enabled per organization, with a configurable default workflow.
The contribution chain is the review workflow for the bid specification by the areas that must contribute before approving it. The typical route is Health & Safety, Labor and Management Control, with an optional final approver.
How it works
- With the bid specification in draft, send it to the chain. It moves to Under review.
- Each link receives the document, adds its requirements (for example, H&S adds safety and induction requirements; Labor, personnel conditions; Management Control, administrative requirements) and passes it to the next.
- Progress is shown in the bid specification's stepper: which stage it's in and what's left.
- Once the chain is complete (and the final approval if configured), the bid specification becomes Approved.
Notes
- The order and the participants in the workflow are defined by your organization; it can be adjusted per bid specification when sending it.
- Each area's contributions are integrated into the document and traced in the history.
- An approved bid specification that is edited again must go through the workflow once more if your process requires it.
