AI Chat is Sourced's conversational assistant for purchasing: instead of navigating forms, you ask for things in natural language and it executes the action or brings you the information.

What it can do

  • Create purchase requests: "I need 20 safety helmets and 50 pairs of size-L nitrile gloves for the Pacheco plant by Friday". It assembles the PR, asks you for any missing data (address, date) and launches it with your confirmation.
  • Check the status of a PR: "how's the bearings request coming along?". It replies with the status, received quotations, best price and what's pending.
  • List your PRs with filters: "show me my pending requests for this month", "the last 5".
  • Search suppliers by category in your database: "what suppliers do we have for hardware?".
  • View and confirm the suggested suppliers of a PR, and send them the quotation requests.
  • Check price history: "when did we last buy monitors and at what price?".

From Slack or Microsoft Teams

The assistant can be integrated with Slack or Microsoft Teams: once installed in your organization's workspace, anyone in the company (not just the purchasing team) can ask it from there about the status of purchases and deliveries, without entering the platform. This way the requesting areas check for themselves "what happened with my order?".

How to use it well

  • It's text based (in Spanish or English); it understands relative dates ("tomorrow", "in 5 days"). Include quantity, specification and delivery location in the first message for fewer back-and-forths.
  • The conversation history stays on the left; pick up any thread where you left off.
  • Everything the assistant creates is visible and editable afterward through the normal screens; the chat is a shortcut, not a separate path.
