The problem
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central does procurement recordkeeping well: requisitions, POs, invoice verification, approval workflows. What it does not natively handle is the operational work that happens before a PO gets created. No supplier discovery. No punchout catalogs — your team updates product data, prices, and vendor info manually, which means the data is often stale by the time a buyer needs it. No OCR on incoming invoices, so every vendor bill is keyed in by hand. And no automated multi-supplier RFQ, which means procurement teams end up quoting with the same handful of suppliers because reaching out to more is too costly in operator time.
The solution
Sourced sits on top of Business Central as the operational procurement layer. When a requisition is created in Dynamics, Sourced's AI Buyer reads it via the Dataverse API, identifies a broader supplier shortlist from your vendor master plus Sourced's external network, generates the RFQ content from your purchase history, contacts suppliers over email in natural language, parses quotes in any format (PDF, Excel, structured form, email body), and hands your buyer a scored comparison. Once approved, the PO flows back to Business Central — and if you use the Logistics module, subsequent shipping ASNs and goods receipts sync the same way.
Fix the manual-catalog problem — Sourced auto-updates item and price data from live supplier responses
Go from 3 suppliers per RFQ to 8-12 — more competition, measurable savings from the next PO
Dataverse-native integration keeps Business Central as your system of record
How Sourced works with Dynamics 365.
Requisition in Business Central
The requester submits the requisition in Dynamics 365 as usual. No new tool for requesters. Sourced reads the requisition through the Dataverse API within seconds.
AI Buyer sources and reaches out
The AI Buyer assembles a supplier shortlist from your Dynamics vendor master plus Sourced's external network. Because Sourced auto-refreshes catalog data from live supplier responses, the shortlist uses current prices — not the stale data in Business Central's catalog.
Multi-supplier RFQ in parallel
The RFQ content is generated from historical purchases of similar items. It goes to every shortlisted supplier in one pass. Suppliers reply via email, PDF, form, or Excel — Sourced parses all of it.
Scored comparison + PO to Business Central
The buyer reviews a scored comparison across price, lead time, quality, and reliability. After approval, Sourced creates the PO in Business Central via Dataverse. The PO moves through your existing Dynamics approval workflow; the vendor record and item list stay authoritative in BC.

Why Microsoft-stack companies pick Sourced.
Dataverse-native, not a bolt-on
Sourced speaks Dataverse. Data flows bi-directionally through the standard Dataverse API, keeping Business Central as the authoritative source. No custom middleware, no AL code to maintain, no disruption to your Power Platform investment.
Closes the procurement gaps Dynamics users hit most
Stale catalogs, manual RFQ drafting, and one-supplier-at-a-time outreach — documented Business Central limitations for procurement teams. Sourced handles each: auto-refreshed catalogs via live supplier data, AI-drafted RFQ content, and parallel multi-supplier outreach.
Agentic, not just another dashboard
Most procurement add-ons for Dynamics surface alerts and metrics. Sourced does the work: it contacts suppliers, negotiates on your behalf, parses quotes, and executes the sourcing cycle end to end — with humans supervising the final call.
Built for manufacturers
Microsoft Dynamics is strong in manufacturing mid-market. Sourced is built for manufacturers: complex multi-category supplier bases, technical specs that matter, qualification requirements, and high-frequency procurement across both direct and indirect materials.
Power Platform-friendly
Sourced emits events that Power Automate can subscribe to — trigger flows on RFQ completion, supplier scorecard updates, or delivery status changes. You keep your Microsoft-first automation story intact.
Three modules — pick what you need
Procurement (RFQs, POs, sourcing). Logistics (delivery tracking, OTD, goods receipts synced to BC). Vendor Management (self-service portal, scorecards, compliance docs). Each module syncs with Dynamics independently — enable them in the order that matches your priorities.
Frequently asked questions.
Does Sourced work with Business Central or Finance & Operations (F&O)?
Both. The integration is Dataverse-based, so it works with Business Central (mid-market) and Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management (enterprise). Most of our Dynamics deployments are Business Central. F&O integrations include additional mapping for advanced inventory and warehouse structures.
Do you have a Microsoft AppSource listing?
AppSource publishing is on our roadmap. In the meantime, Sourced connects to Dynamics 365 via the standard Dataverse API — no AppSource installation required today. Customers authorize the connection through a service principal.
How does Sourced compare to Microsoft Copilot for procurement?
Microsoft Copilot surfaces insights and drafts content inside the Dynamics UI — it's a productivity layer. Sourced is an autonomous AI Buyer that executes the procurement workflow end to end outside and then syncs results back to Dynamics. The two are complementary: use Copilot for in-app productivity, use Sourced to replace the manual sourcing work entirely.
Can we trigger Power Automate flows off Sourced events?
Yes. Sourced emits webhook events for RFQ lifecycle (draft, sent, awarded), supplier scorecard changes, and delivery milestones. Your Power Automate flows can subscribe and extend the automation into Teams, Outlook, Dataverse tables, or any downstream system.
Does this replace the Dynamics procurement module?
No. Business Central remains your system of record for requisitions, POs, vendor records, and vendor bills. Sourced layers the autonomous sourcing and negotiation on top. If you ever stop using Sourced, your procurement history lives intact in Dynamics.
How long is implementation?
Two to three weeks for a full Dynamics 365 integration including sandbox-to-production promotion. A lightweight deployment (AI Buyer running RFQs outside Dynamics) can go live in 48 hours.
Where does our data live?
Dynamics 365 data stays in your Dynamics tenant. Sourced's tenant holds only the fields needed to operate the procurement cycle — supplier contacts, RFQ drafts, quote responses, scorecards. You control the scope through Dataverse permissions granted to the Sourced service principal.
Does Sourced handle RFPs as well as RFQs?
Yes. RFQs (Request for Quotation, pricing-first) and RFPs (Request for Proposal, solution-first) are different buyer flows, and the AI Buyer handles both. For RFQs, the focus is on price, lead time, and quantities — scoring is weighted toward cost and delivery. For RFPs, the AI coordinates a longer multi-round process with structured proposal submission, technical evaluation, vendor shortlisting, and comparative scoring across non-price criteria you define. Either flow generates the winning PO synced back to your ERP automatically.
