Step 1 - How to Launch an RFQ

Sourcing events in Sourced can be created individually or in bulk via CSV upload. In this article, we will cover how to create one individually.

Create a Purchase Requisition

Step one: define the line items. In the first section, enter the description of each item you need to procure, along with the quantity and unit of measure. Optionally, you can add technical specifications such as manufacturer part number, brand, or other details.

Step two: delivery location and additional details. In the next step, add supplementary information to the sourcing event such as delivery address, desired delivery date, and the bid submission deadline.

Step three: supplier selection. After confirming the data you entered, Sourced will begin validating and categorizing each line item. It will then recommend suppliers to invite to the sourcing event. These suppliers can include both your own approved vendors and others previously vetted by Sourced.

Finally, after clicking the "Send Invitations" button, Sourced will launch the RFQ process.
